NON-FICTION
The Non-Fiction section contains books that contain true facts and information. Non-fiction books are organized by subject first, then alphabetically by the author's last name. The way we organize and organize these books is called the Dewey Decimal System.
All books on the same subject will have a similar number assigned to them. This number is called the call number. The call number helps us identify and locate books. You can find each book's call number, as well as the first three letters of the author's last name, on the spine label. The spine label sticker is located toward the bottom of the book. Take a look!
Books in the non-fiction section can be read for enjoyment, information and they can help you with your schoolwork.
There are 6,848 books in JFK Library's non-fiction section.
